Director's Statement
The theme of this film will revolve around social issues, specifically focusing on the topic of inclusion, which will be portrayed through the elements of friendship, love, and struggle. Individuals with physical disabilities often face the challenge of exerting extra efforts to fulfill their aspirations. This difficulty is harder for non-disabled individuals to comprehend because we frequently overlook the privileges that make our lives easier compared to our friends with disabilities.
We don’t feel what it’s like not to be accepted by the school, just because you’re physically different, like what Avi experienced when his parents enrolled him in elementary school. How does it feel to have to hide your feelings of love because you are haunted by feelings of inferiority, how does it feel to always be considered different, and also to always be treated special by the people around you.
In recent years, social media has developed rapidly, leading to the emergence of various negative stigmas towards it. However, for some people with physical disabilities, such as Avi, social media can actually be something positive. This is because individuals with disabilities can use social media to express their thoughts and emotions through content, fostering self-acceptance. In addition, content creation can also serve as a viable profession today, offering an alternative job for individuals with disabilities while exploring other job opportunities suitable for their needs.
Despite coming from a well-off family, Avi’s strong desire for financial independence through work and dedication to becoming a content creator is a unique aspect that influenced our choice of characters for this film.
